1. In Buddhism, the number 108 symbolizes the elimination of 108 kinds of troubles. Buddhism believes that people have many troubles, mainly including the "six roots" (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, mind) corresponding to the "six dusts" (color, sound, smell, taste, touch, law), each "root" has two states of "purity" and "poisoning", so there are a total of 6×2×3 = 108 kinds of troubles. By chanting the Buddha's name or mantra 108 times, holding the bracelet with 108 beads in the process of twisting the beads, it helps people to collect their minds and focus on the Dharma, so as to achieve the purpose of eliminating troubles.
2. Amethyst represents wisdom and understanding. It corresponds to the Ajna Chakra and is closely related to higher-level spiritual abilities such as wisdom, intuition, insight, and spiritual perception.
